Job Overview
Qatar Airways Group is seeking a skilled Technical Officer – Electrical to oversee the operations, maintenance, and improvement of electrical systems at the airport. The role ensures safety, efficiency, and cost-effective management of all electrical assets while supervising in-house and contractor teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor maintenance contractors to ensure timely and quality execution of electrical works.
- Conduct quality assurance audits and inspections of electrical assets, preparing detailed reports.
- Lead and assign tasks to a team of electrical supervisors and technicians.
- Raise ORACLE requisitions for spares and services within the approved budget.
- Support in developing technical scopes of work and specifications for in-house projects.
- Inspect completed works from external vendors to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Prepare and review safe electrical work methods with contractors and the Permit to Work team.
- Monitor spare part usage to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Maintain updated technical information of electrical assets and track performance using the Asset Management System.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Required Qualifications
- High School / Vocational / Diploma with minimum 4 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Past experience in airport operations, large commercial facilities, or five-star hotels.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical engineering systems, fault diagnosis, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical design/as-built drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Leadership skills to manage, train, and supervise a multinational team.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work shifts and weekends.
