Job Overview
Qatar Airways is seeking a Senior Data Specialist to join its Product Development and Design (PDD) Team. This role focuses on analysing internal datasets to generate actionable insights that shape passenger experience, product offerings, and operational improvements. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and operational teams to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse internal datasets related to passenger behaviour, product usage, operational performance, and service delivery.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to inform product development decisions.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support strategic planning and KPI tracking.
- Monitor KPIs across onboard passenger experience, including soft and hard products and digital touchpoints.
- Work closely with product, design, and operational teams to translate data into actionable insights.
- Support cross-functional initiatives by providing analytical input during planning and reviews.
- Prepare clear, compelling presentations and reports for leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to strategic narratives guiding future product and service enhancements.
- Perform other department duties as directed by the Head of Department.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in aviation, travel, or customer experience domains.
- Strong skills in data wrangling, cleansing, and transformation using Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R.
- Solid understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics.
- Experience with predictive models, trend analyses, correlation studies, A/B testing, and regression analysis.
- Expertise in creating dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Ability to present complex data insights in a clear, compelling manner to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience defining and tracking KPIs for product usage, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Ability to build automated reporting systems and performance scorecards.
