Job Overview
Qatar Airways is seeking a Senior Data Science Analyst (Qatari Nationals only) to lead a team of analysts in designing and building analytics methodologies, solutions, and products that deliver value through data-driven strategies. This role combines advanced statistics, machine learning, and IT expertise to drive revenue management and commercial insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of analysts to deliver timely and reliable revenue management and commercial data.
- Develop analytics solutions that reduce the time between data generation and business impact.
- Translate sophisticated data science concepts into actionable insights for business adoption.
- Work with revenue management data sources (pricing, inventory, market share) and apply machine learning, AI, and statistical methods to deliver solutions.
- Interpret stakeholder requirements to develop efficient and reliable data solutions.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to create synergies and adopt common tools for digital value analysis.
- Compile statistical and supporting data to communicate findings and recommendations to management.
- Evaluate and propose solutions for data processing challenges, including cloud and data lake storage improvements.
- Build constructive relationships with Commercial and IT teams to support business goals.
- Work closely with Senior Data Science Analysts and Revenue Management team members to identify insights that drive increased revenue.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant job experience.
- Expert understanding of statistics, operations research, forecasting, and optimization methods.
- Strong understanding of airline business processes including Network Planning, Scheduling, e-commerce, Marketing, and Sales.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Expert understanding of IT and data science tools.
- Proficiency in English language.
