Job Overview
Qatar Airways Cargo is seeking a Senior Cargo Data Analyst to support its vision as a global leader in air freight. The role focuses on analyzing complex data sets, building dashboards, developing predictive models, and providing actionable insights to senior management. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data-driven decisions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee data mining, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling to identify trends and patterns in large datasets.
- Design and implement data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate key insights.
- Support ETL processes, data models, and data pipelines to ensure clean, accurate, and available data.
- Address requests and user stories for new dashboards or enhancements to existing analytical tools.
- Document findings, create executive summaries, and present recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with data engineering, quality assurance, and performance analysis teams.
- Communicate major updates and developments in data platforms and analytical tools to stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in analytics and data management.
- Support the deployment of training programs to enhance analytical and technical skills across commercial departments.
- Ensure optimal performance of the analytical platform by working closely with the technical team.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a data analysis role.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data mining, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, or other programming languages.
- Advanced skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or QlikView.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management.
