Job Overview
Qatar Airways is seeking a Security Operations Manager to join its Corporate Security team in Doha. This role involves supporting the Manager Security Operations – IOC in implementing strategic security plans, driving high performance within the Security Operations Team at the Integrated Operations Center (IOC), and providing subject matter expertise on aviation operational security across the airline network.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support, guidance, and advice on airline security matters to the network and hub.
- Represent QR Security at the IOC for all security operational issues.
- Monitor and escalate security intelligence advisories to the management team.
- Review, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) regularly.
- Advise network stations on Enhanced Security Measures (ESM) implementation.
- Disseminate security advisories received from the Threat and Risk team to relevant stakeholders.
- Supervise Breathalyser Tests and Right of Search for crew at QRIOC.
- Plan and coordinate drug and alcohol tests at QRIOC and outstations.
- Handle daily security-related occurrences and prepare security responses for operational incidents.
- Conduct preliminary investigations into security operational occurrences at network stations.
- Facilitate and coordinate local law enforcement agency investigations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of relevant job experience in security operations
- Proactive in identifying and addressing operational issues
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Strong report writing and presentation skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Good understanding of general security operations, airport, and airline security requirements
- Background in aviation regulatory or compliance
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret and apply international aviation security regulatory requirements
- Experience in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures
