Job Overview
Qatar Airways is seeking a Regional Manager – Employee Relations to lead professional employee relations activities across the organization. The role focuses on advising management, resolving workplace conflicts, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. You will support HR strategies, foster effective communication, and contribute to a healthy work environment while exercising independent discretion in decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and counsel to supervisors on employee issues, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
- Conduct interactive processes with employees to determine compliance and accommodations.
- Negotiate employment separations to minimize potential litigation risks.
- Develop and conduct management training on harassment, discrimination, employment law, performance reviews, discipline, terminations, and ethics.
- Represent Qatar Airways in personnel hearings, mediations, and depositions through Employee Relations or HR Business Partners.
- Administer and update the QR Employee Policy Handbook, ensuring consistent adherence.
- Ensure HR policies, procedures, and reporting comply with legal requirements and government regulations.
- Investigate work-related or compliance issues and prepare summary reports with conclusions and recommendations.
- Identify best practices and propose improvements to HR and employee relations processes.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Department.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Law, Humanities, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in employee relations, labor law compliance, and HR advisory.
- Proven experience investigating complex employment complaints and advising management.
- Strong command of English; excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations across jurisdictions.
- Ability to coach and advise employees and management on sensitive HR issues, resolving conflicts effectively.
- Professional qualification in HR, Employee Relations, or Industrial Relations is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills; ability to work independently.
