Job Overview
Qatar Airways is seeking a Product Owner Manager to lead cross-functional digital product pods, ensuring timely delivery of product enhancements and features. This role involves guiding UX/UI designers, engineers, QA specialists, and other stakeholders to align with digital product priorities and airline business objectives. The successful candidate will support product lifecycle management, optimize digital delivery, and enhance customer experiences across web and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead one or more assigned digital product pods, including engineers, UX/UI designers, QA, and other specialists.
- Define sprint scope based on backlog, digital product priorities, and pod capacity.
- Manage pod activities around feature releases, ensuring timely delivery and quality performance.
- Conduct UX/UI review sessions and demos for wider digital teams and management.
- Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and technical challenges by coordinating with Finance, IT, and Commercial units.
- Document and prioritize new product features and user stories according to the digital roadmap and business objectives.
- Ensure alignment of digital product delivery with airline sales, marketing, and operational strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 6 years of experience in Product Lifecycle Management.
- Functional knowledge of web and mobile platforms.
- Proven experience in managing digital product delivery, preferably in the travel or airline industry.
- Strong understanding of digital product development aspects, including customer experience, UX/UI design, engineering, and analytics.
- Knowledge of airline systems, sales, marketing, and distribution mechanisms.
- Expertise in Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams.
