Job Overview
Qatar Airways is seeking a Manager Entertainment (Content Partnerships), IFE to lead content acquisition, partnerships, and programming for the airlineβs inflight entertainment product. This role will drive relationships with content providers, OTT platforms, studios, and technology vendors to enrich onboard entertainment. The position ensures alignment of content strategy with business objectives while enhancing passenger engagement and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with content providers, OTT platforms, studios, distributors, and licensing agencies
- Identify, negotiate, and secure partnerships with studios, OTT platforms, content distributors, and producers
- Lead commercial discussions on licensing, distribution, and content agreements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate content delivery systems into IFE platforms
- Ensure compliance with licensing agreements, copyright laws, and industry regulations
- Explore innovative opportunities to enhance the inflight entertainment experience, including interactive content and personalized recommendations
- Manage the IFE content budget and allocate resources effectively
- Monitor content performance metrics, including engagement trends and usage patterns
- Build and maintain relationships with content vendors, service providers, and equipment suppliers
- Address issues related to content licensing, delivery timelines, or service agreements
- Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Department
Qualifications & Experience
Understanding of the aviation industry and competitive IFE content landscape
Bachelorβs Degree or equivalent required
Minimum 9+ years of experience in entertainment, content partnerships, curation, and programming
Deep understanding of streaming and OTT trends, particularly as they relate to inflight entertainment
Strong background in content acquisition, licensing, partnership, and distribution (Streaming, Broadcast, or IFE)
Knowledge of media integration systems and IFE hardware
Financial understanding of content licensing pricing and operational costs
Strategic mindset with ability to develop and execute long-term content strategies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with digital content delivery systems and inflight entertainment platforms
