Job Description

Job Overview

Qatar Airways Group is seeking a Head of Leisure Channels to develop and lead global leisure channel strategies across Tour Operators (TO), Online Travel Agencies (OTA), Specialty, Retail, and Consolidator channels. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, revenue contribution, and ensuring effective collaboration with regional teams. The Head of Leisure Channels will oversee global account management, monitor performance metrics, and optimize cost of sales.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Responsibilities

  • Develop TO, OTA, Specialty, Retail, and Consolidator channel strategies to maximize sales and revenue contribution.
  • Collaborate with SVP Commercial Strategy to provide insights from leisure channel management for distribution strategy development.
  • Ensure channel strategies prepare the organization for evolving trends, mergers, and channel optimization.
  • Establish structure, standards, and processes to facilitate development, management, and growth of leisure channels.
  • Translate performance objectives into departmental KPIs and oversee execution of channel strategies.
  • Oversee global OTA account management to meet/exceed revenue targets and optimize cost of sale.
  • Monitor account performance against budget and collaborate with local sales teams to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide weekly and monthly analysis of channel performance in collaboration with Reporting and Analytics teams.
  • Perform other department duties as directed by the Head of Department.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential.
  • Minimum 10 years of job-related experience in the airline or travel industry.
  • Strong experience in strategy development and commercial operations.
  • Ability to make informed, data-driven insights and decisions.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for senior management and executive audiences.
  • Proven track record in managing global sales channels and achieving revenue targets.
