Job Description

The Food and Beverage Supervisor supports the Management Team in ensuring smooth and efficient restaurant operations while maintaining high service standards and enhancing overall customer experience. The role focuses on team supervision, service quality, hygiene compliance, cash handling, and sales performance to uphold Qatar Airways’ premium hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example to ensure staff maintain the highest grooming standards as per Company Dress Code Policy
  • Ensure assigned areas meet hygiene, food safety, health, and safety standards and follow up on maintenance issues
  • Maintain strong guest engagement throughout their visit to ensure prompt and efficient service
  • Ensure cash handling procedures are followed and staff are trained to avoid billing discrepancies
  • Maintain full knowledge of the restaurant menu and guide the team to advise customers accurately
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer service and communicate with Restaurant Management
  • Monitor service quality against business standards and implement action plans based on customer feedback
  • Manage daily staff coverage according to business levels to ensure effective resourcing
  • Monitor daily product quality and availability and report issues to relevant departments
  • Support sales targets by implementing upselling programs and team incentives
  • Monitor daily wastage and breakage and ensure accurate staff reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of job-related experience in Food & Beverage or hospitality operations

Required Skills

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Strong customer experience and service mindset

Knowledge of stock control and wastage management

Understanding of international food and beverage standards

Computer skills in Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel

Experience using POS systems such as Micros or similar software

Knowledge of KPIs and performance monitoring
