Job Overview
Qatar Airways is seeking an experienced Entertainment Manager (Content Strategy & Curation), IFE, to support and contribute to the development of an engaging inflight entertainment experience. The role will shape content strategy, oversee content curation and acquisition, and manage relationships with service providers, studios, distributors, and technology vendors to enhance the inflight entertainment product.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with Qatar Airwaysβ brand and passenger demographics.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with content providers, studios, distributors, and licensing agencies.
- Lead curation, selection, and acquisition of entertainment content ensuring quality, diversity, and relevance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate content delivery systems into the inflight entertainment platform.
- Utilize data analytics and passenger feedback to evaluate content offerings and optimize engagement and satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with licensing agreements, copyright laws, and industry regulations.
- Manage overall selection and programming of movies, TV shows, music, games, and other media for inflight entertainment.
- Perform other department duties as directed by the Head of Department.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelorβs Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 9+ years of experience in entertainment, content partnership, curation, and programming.
- Deep understanding of Streaming and OTT trends, particularly for inflight entertainment.
- Strong background in content acquisition, licensing, partnerships, and distribution.
- Knowledge of media integration systems and IFE hardware.
- Financial understanding of content licensing pricing and operational costs.
- Strategic mindset with ability to develop and execute long-term content strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with digital content delivery systems, inflight entertainment platforms, and related technologies.
- Knowledge of the aviation industry and competitive trends in inflight entertainment content.
