Job Overview
Qatar Airways Group is inviting applications for the role of Business Finance Manager in Doha, Qatar. This full-time leadership role provides an opportunity to drive financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management while supporting business units in achieving strategic objectives. The position combines analytical expertise with team leadership in one of the worldβs leading airlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business units in all finance-related matters including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic planning.
- Identify and evaluate financial impacts of business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with business units to provide actionable financial recommendations.
- Monitor monthly expenditure variance, investigate deviations, and implement control measures.
- Lead preparation, execution, and analysis of budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Develop structured business cases for projects, evaluating costs, benefits, risks, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Enhance costing processes, operational systems, and internal controls.
- Review KPIs and report performance for assigned departments.
- Present business cases to Cost Management Committee and senior management.
- Lead and mentor finance teams, fostering a culture of value-based decision making and teamwork.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- Preferred: ACCA, ACA, CPA, CMA, CA, or related postgraduate qualification.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in finance management.
- Expertise in costing methodologies, financial analysis, and cost reduction techniques.
- Strong knowledge of internal finance systems and cost centre accounting.
- Proven experience managing large, diverse teams.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple priorities.
- Managerial skills including delegation, mentoring, and team development.
Estimated Salary
QAR 25,000 β 35,000 per month (estimated, may vary based on experience and allowances).
