Job Overview
Qatar Airways Group is inviting applications for the role of Airport Operations Control Center (AOCC) Officer in Doha, Qatar. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work at Hamad International Airport (HIA), supporting flight operations, airport systems, and real-time operational coordination to ensure seamless airport performance and passenger service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate parking stands at HIA using the Gate Management System to optimize traffic and ensure safety compliance.
- Process and validate flight data on operational and following days in the Airport Operational Database.
- Update the Airport Operational Database for all operational data changes within a six-day window.
- Monitor data flow across AOCC systems to ensure accuracy and quality for stakeholders and airport users.
- Supervise AOCC system performance and interfaces, activating contingency measures when required.
- Monitor Electronics Visual Information Display System (EVIDS) and staff information system performance to ensure accurate passenger traffic information.
- Oversee approach radar, Advanced Surface Movement Guidance & Control System Radar, VHF aeronautical frequencies, and HIA updates to deliver timely “Ten Miles Out” and “Acting Landing” data to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School / Vocational / Diploma qualification with minimum 4 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor’s degree with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Attended airport/airline operations courses (passenger, ramp, cargo).
- Experience in aerodrome operations, ground handling, or airline operational environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor multiple systems simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to interact with internal teams and external airport stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond to operational contingencies.
Estimated Salary
QAR 12,000 – 18,000 per month (estimated, may vary based on experience and allowances).
