Job Overview
Qatar Airways Group is inviting applications for Aircraft Mechanic – Welder based in Doha, Qatar. This full-time role involves performing TIG and resistance spot welding on aircraft components, ensuring compliance with QCAA/EASA PART-145 standards, and maintaining the highest operational and safety standards within the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks on aircraft components using TIG welding on Aluminum, Titanium, Nickel, and steel alloys.
- Execute resistance spot welding on various aircraft components.
- Ensure completion of assigned maintenance tasks within set procedures and timeframes.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and other tooling in the workshop.
- Follow safety protocols and company health policies at all times.
- Perform defect rectification and repairs according to QCAA/EASA PART-145 requirements.
- Support team members and lead by example to maintain productivity standards.
- Interpret maintenance data instructions and apply repair procedures accurately.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School / Vocational Qualification / Diploma with minimum 3 years relevant experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 2 years relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of certifying experience.
- Degree or equivalent diploma/license in Aircraft Maintenance.
- Basic ICAO Type II license.
- Trade-related certificates and recognized aeronautical/technical training.
- Practical experience in TIG welding and resistance spot welding in aircraft/component MRO or manufacturing facility.
- Knowledge and operating skills of TIG welding equipment.
- Ability to understand maintenance data instructions and apply them to repairs.
Estimated Salary
QAR 11,000 – 16,000 per month (estimated, may vary based on experience and allowances).
