Job Overview
Qatar Airways Group is inviting applications for Aircraft Mechanic – Galley Insert Shop (Avionics Shop) based in Doha, Qatar. This full-time role offers the opportunity to maintain and repair galley insert components such as ovens, air chillers, freezers, trash compactors, and beverage makers while ensuring compliance with QR standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, rectifications, and repairs on galley insert components to meet quality and safety standards.
- Operate tools and equipment in the workshop to complete assigned tasks within specified timeframes.
- Interpret technical data and procedures to ensure operational excellence and productivity standards are met.
- Ensure compliance with QCAA/EASA PART-145 regulations.
- Lead by example to motivate team members and ensure health and safety awareness.
- Perform additional department duties as directed by the head of the department.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School / Vocational Qualification / Diploma with minimum 3 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Degree or equivalent diploma/license in Aircraft Maintenance.
- Basic ICAO Type II license.
- Trade-related certificates or OEM component training.
- Practical knowledge of soldering & EWIS.
- At least one-year practical experience in galley insert workshop components (ovens, air chillers, freezers, trash compactors, beverage makers).
- Recognized aeronautical or technical training certificates.
- Sufficient skills and experience in similar airline workshop environments.
Estimated Salary
QAR 10,000 – 15,000 per month (estimated, may vary based on experience and shift allowances).
