Job Overview
Qatar Airways Group is inviting applications for Aircraft Mechanic – Engine Shop in Doha, Qatar. This full-time role offers the opportunity to perform engine and APU maintenance, inspections, repairs, and build-ups, ensuring operational reliability for one of the world’s leading airlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance tasks including inspections, component replacements, servicing, QEC build-ups, modifications, and minor engine/APU repairs as directed by licensed engineers.
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled bore scope inspections and engine build-up tasks according to company and manufacturer standards.
- Ensure availability of ready-to-install engines for operational support, including fan case split/mate and module build-ups.
- Maintain engine modules, critical defect rectifications, and hot spare engines within the company capability register.
- Support operational reliability for aircraft through timely engine maintenance and technical troubleshooting.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma, vocational qualification, or Bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Maintenance / Engineering or equivalent.
- ICAO Type 2 Basic License with minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including apprenticeship.
- Experience with Qatar Airways fleet engines and engine types (V2500, Trent 500, GE CF6-80E1, GE90, GENx, GP7000, Trent XWB).
- Proven experience in engine module removal/installation, bore scope support, and engine shop operations.
- Familiarity with Airbus and Boeing documentation for maintenance procedures.
- Strong technical knowledge of engines and APUs, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards.
Estimated Salary
QAR 12,000 – 18,000 per month (estimated, may vary based on experience and shift allowances).
