Job Overview
Qatar Airways Group is inviting applications for Aircraft Mechanic – Cabin Maintenance (Light & Heavy) based in Doha, Qatar. This full-time role involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, defect rectification, and repairs on all cabin components across First, Business, and Economy class, ensuring the airline’s 5-star standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cabin maintenance, defect rectification, and repairs on cockpit seats, cabin crew seats, lavatories, galleys, galley inserts, carpets, and vinyl flooring.
- Adhere to Qatar Airways TPM (Technical Procedure Manuals) and company documents for all maintenance tasks, material handling, and tool usage.
- Liaise with cabin and maintenance teams to complete complex tasks within set timeframes without affecting Aircraft Maintenance TAT (Turn Around Time).
- Support line and heavy maintenance teams in accomplishing cabin maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors or licensed engineers.
- Ensure all replacement parts and components comply with approved specifications.
- Follow all safety procedures and approved technical documentation for aircraft maintenance tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School / Vocational Qualification / Diploma with minimum 3 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of certifying experience.
- Degree or equivalent diploma/license in Aircraft Maintenance.
- Basic ICAO Type license and Engineering Diploma in Aviation.
- Knowledge of cabin interiors fundamentals and related maintenance skills.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical documentation related to aircraft maintenance.
- Proficiency in operating and controlling tools, equipment, and maintenance systems.
Estimated Salary
QAR 11,000 – 16,000 per month (estimated, may vary based on experience and allowances).
