Job Overview
Qatar Airways Group is inviting applications for Aircraft Mechanic B2 – Heavy Maintenance in Doha, Qatar. This full-time role offers the opportunity to perform critical maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft structures, systems, and components, ensuring safety and operational excellence at one of the world’s leading airlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct tests, inspections, and evaluations of aircraft products, systems, and processes.
- Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.
- Examine engines and components for cracks, leaks, or defects.
- Disassemble, inspect, and repair aircraft parts and structural components.
- Assemble and install electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components using hand and power tools.
- Perform maintenance tasks including cleaning, greasing, and brake inspections.
- Test engine and system operations, diagnose malfunctions, and repair as needed.
- Remove and install engines using hoists or forklifts.
- Implement technical solutions following aircraft maintenance manuals, drawings, and engineering orders.
- Support line and heavy maintenance operations as directed by the department head.
Qualifications & Skills
- Without Degree: High School / Vocational / Diploma qualification with minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
- With Degree: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
- Practical experience in aircraft maintenance, including apprenticeship, is required.
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering orders, and specifications.
- Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
Estimated Salary
QAR 12,000 – 18,000 per month (estimated, may vary based on experience and shift allowances).
