Job Overview
Qatar Airways is seeking a Retail Manager – Fashion to oversee the day-to-day operations of QDF stores. This role focuses on driving commercial performance, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and optimizing merchandising and stock control.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, motivate, and develop the retail team to increase sales and ensure operational efficiency.
- Monitor the sales floor, interact with colleagues and customers, and resolve urgent issues.
- Analyze sales figures and forecast future performance to achieve departmental budget targets.
- Ensure merchandise is displayed attractively and stock levels are maintained effectively.
- Maintain high standards of quality, customer service, and health & safety compliance.
- Communicate business performance updates, initiatives, and key information to the team.
- Keep up-to-date with retail market trends and competitors’ activities.
- Organize promotions, displays, and events to maximize profits.
- Initiate process improvements based on observation and performance analysis.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of retail management experience.
- Strong experience in customer-facing, fast-paced environments.
- Financial knowledge including cash handling, banking, and budget management.
- Experience in the Middle East, international business, or luxury retail sector.
- Previous duty-free or airport retail experience is a plus.
- Operational knowledge of retail environments and regional business trends.
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with retail IT systems is required.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Customer-focused, results-driven, and capable of managing staffing and budgets effectively.
