Discover Qatar is seeking a skilled Safari Driver to lead adventure and scenic tours, delivering exceptional guest experiences across Qatar’s desert, coastline, and cultural landmarks. The role emphasizes passenger safety, vehicle maintenance, and professional representation of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive multi-passenger safari vehicles on scenic tours, including desert and coastal routes.
- Collect and drop off customers according to scheduled itineraries.
- Assist guests with luggage and ensure passenger comfort and well-being throughout tours.
- Provide tour narration, answer questions, and assist with photography when required.
- Lead safari convoys and adhere to detailed routes and safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-tour vehicle checks, ensuring mechanical readiness and cleanliness of equipment.
- Monitor and report delays or operational issues following Discover Qatar service standards.
- Ensure all safety regulations are followed and vehicles are equipped with necessary gear.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School or equivalent; valid full clean Qatar driver’s license.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant safari driving experience; knowledge of 4WD vehicle mechanics.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Knowledge of Qatar’s off-road routes, culture, heritage, and wildlife.
- Desert and coastal driving proficiency.
- Safety-conscious with strong situational awareness.
Preferred / Advantageous:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Over 6 years of accident-free driving experience.
